The more I learn about law of attraction, the more I look at what the news media focuses on in, a new light. (The subject of WHY the news media focuses on what it focuses on is a topic for another day.)

Apparently, a large percentage of people living in the State of California are spending part(s) of their day(s) pouring over dictionaries and airing their opinions judgments and beliefs about the definition of marriage, according to this latest “news” from The New York Times - Definition of Marriage Is at Heart of California Case

I was especially amused by the comment made by one of the attorneys.

“Realistically, you have to give society time to adjust,” said Christopher E. Krueger, a lawyer with the state attorney general’s office.

I would love to know the balance of what he said or what caused him to say this. My question lies in which segment of society he was suggesting needed time to adjust.

The government bodies that get paid to make such laws. OR the people that insist the government make laws that dictate what they do - one way or another.

I once heard Dr Laura Schlesinger coach a caller on her radio show. A young adult was complaining about the curfew her parents had placed on her. During Dr. Laura’s fact-finding about the situation, it came to light that the parents were paying the thousands in dollars to put this adult through college. It was Dr. Laura’s position that whomever has control of the dollars - has control of the person. “If you don’t want them having the control over what time you must go to bed, pay your own way in life.” (paraphrased from my memory)

The folks that are trying to fight city hall about the subject of marriage are allowing the government to determine what is permissible or not and if it weren’t for the subject of money - health care coverages, divorce settlements (if things don’t stay hunky-dory), etc. - who would even be checking in with the government for permission to marry, anyway?

When you give someone else (or some Thing else, in this case - the government) the power for deciding what you are allowed or not allowed to do in one area of the decision-making process, don’t be surprised if they see you as an entity that needs to be told what to do, in other situations.

Follow your heart and don’t get bogged down in what other people think about what you do. Just don’t expect them to bail you out when you need health care or or in case of divorce settlements down the road. Pay your own way.

Whomever has the power in one area - has the power. Society is like a big ship - it’s slow to turn it around, when it is at full throttle in a certain direction. Life it too short to spend time getting permission from others.

I just read an interesting transcript of a show that Larry King from CNN LIVE, did with John Assaraf, Deepak Chopra and others, about the San Diego Wildfires.

There were some pretty interesting points made on this show and the one point that leaped out at me was what Deepak said about “set points”. Here are his tidbits of gold:

“OK, Larry, these days, there’s a lot of scientific research on how people handle these situations.

We have something in our brain called a set point. And some people, when they look at a situation like this, they, of course, are devastated, and others actually find an opportunity in that adversity, and they will come out much, much stronger.”

The conversation wanders among the host and the guests and then, Deepak adds this:

“Let’s say somebody wins the lottery today, $10 million. They will be ecstatic. But, in a year from now, they will be exactly where they were before they won the lottery, which means either back to their level of happiness or their level of unhappiness.

The same thing with tragedy. When people go through a major tragedy, as she went through, after a year to maximum two years, people will be exactly where they started from, as happy or as unhappy as before.”

Bravo, Deepak for bringing this up!

Many teachers do not speak of this and this is a critical point. If we find ourselves repeating patterns over and over, whether it be with attracting the same types of Relationships (co-workers, bosses, business partners, love relationships) or Health issues (one illness going away only to have it replaced with another) or Money issues (surprise checks in the mail only to be matched with surprise bills or expenses), it is because of our “set point”.

Until our vibration is cleaned up on that Subject and our set point on that Subject matter changes - nothing will change.

(Actually, technically speaking, things change all the time. Sometimes, they just change to the same exact thing - over and over - so it just seems like nothing changes.)

I see people speak of this in the forums all the time. They will cry, “HELP ME! I am doing all this stuff and nothing is happening!”

What they don’t understand is: Thanks are happening. It is just that the vibration has not changed. So, things are just changing to the exact same thing.

The “internals” create the “externals”. Change the “internals” and the “externals” will change.

It has to.

It’s the law.

So, why did I choose to use that as a subtitle?

Okay… I’ll tell ya’! :-)

I have found over the decades of coaching people that most feelings that do not feel good are due to the fact that we are usually doing one of the following things:

  • Beating up on ourselves for something we did or said.
  • Beating up on ourselves for something we didn’t do or didn’t say and maybe we “should have”. (Those first 2 on this list are related and are otherwise known as trying to “re-write history”.)
  • Judging others as being wrong.
  • Wanting others to behave a certain way and trying to figure out how we can get them to behave differently.
  • Blaming others for how we feel.
  • Explaining, Justifying, Rationalizing.

I am just curious - how much time and energy do you spend doing one of the things I mentioned? ;-)

What if… we let ourselves off the hook for whatever happened (or didn’t happen)?

What if… we let everyone else off the hook for whatever happened (or didn’t happen)?

What if… we chalked everything up - I do mean EVERY THING - up to “contrast”?

In other words, whatever happens in our lives - whatever we experience, is an opportunity to see what it is we do not want, which gives us a picture perfect idea of what we do want instead!

Well, that looks good on paper, doesn’t it?

In other words, if we were able to just snap our fingers and look at each situation as an item on a menu to choose from, that would certainly be the case.

We would be saying,

Peas? No thanks!

But Corn? YES!

Blue sweater? Nah.

But look at this Green sweater! YES!

See how easy it would be?

But when it comes to Relationships, we are also usually pretty attached to the outcome. We want things to go the way WE want them to go.

In other words, when others in our lives are not BEing and DOing what we want them to do, it affects our mood.

So, how do we “unhook” from all that stuff?

How do we effortlessly pivot from the icky feelings that crop up when we experience something from the buffet of interactions with people that is not to our liking?

Isn’t that tougher? Shouldn’t somebody DO something about all those people and how they behave? How they treat me?

Good questions. Here is what Abraham-Hicks says on this:

You teach each other your respective responsive vibrations

[Guest in the Hot Seat is having difficult interactions with his stepdaughter]

Abraham: And you gather up this new resolve that it is going to be different in your experience and then you walk right into the face of that. We want you to understand what it is that you’re bumping up against that’s making you so nuts.

It isn’t her choosing things that disagree with your choices. That’s not what’s making you so uncomfortable. It is her own personal discord that you are bumping up against that is making you uncomfortable. We know the trap. It’s like, “Well I’m only responding to what she’s taught me.” And this is the thing that we want so much for you all to hear from us here today:

You teach each other your respective responsive vibrations. In other words, you don’t feel any way about anyone without their helping you to feel that way. It’s really co-creation. We’ll even go further, and bolder, and louder, and blunter. If there’s somebody you don’t like, they don’t like you either!

We have never seen it otherwise. We have never one time, ever, known someone to adore someone… that the one that they were adoring, didn’t adore them back!

Now, some are thinking.. “Oh wait a minute. There was that man that I loved with all my heart, and he didn’t love me back.” And we say, you were offering him insecurity. You were offering him worry. It wasn’t that pure vibration of love.

When you are tuned in, tapped in, turned on — when you are connected to your Source and holding someone as your object of attention and you are genuinely offering that feeling of love and appreciation — they can’t offer you anything else! The law of attraction, that manager called law of attraction would not put you together… even when you live in the same house. You would rendezvous differently. You would come home when she’s not there; she’d come home when you’re not there. Or she would be unavailable or she’d be doing something else. You would really have to work hard to seek out those incompatible moments, when you are in that place of pure positive energy. It just could not happen, you see.

So. What we’re suggesting to you - and we are certainly understanding how it came about - your dominate vibration about this girl - is bringing you nothing but grief. And somebody should do something about it — and it’s not her.

That was a great example and even tho’ the relationship example may appear to be a specific one, it applies to all relationships. Spouses, siblings, co-workers.

So, let them off the hook for what is going on. Offer what it is you are wanting in return, in an easy and relaxed manner.

And if there is something that keeps surfacing about them - some characteristic of theirs that keeps triggering you - if this person seems to just bring out the worst in you?

Chances are they are mirroring something that bothers you - about you. Let yourself off the hook about that, too. Do some EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) around the thoughts and feelings that are coming up and see how much different your relationships are. Your relationship with others and first and foremost, your relationship with you! :-)

The Universal Law of Attraction

Everything in your life and the lives of those around you is affected by the Law of Attraction. It is the basis of everything that you see manifesting. It is the basis of everything that comes into your experience… An awareness of the Law of Attraction and an understanding of how it works is essential to living life on purpose. In fact, it is essential to living the life of joy that you came forth to live.

The Law of Attraction says: That which is like unto itself, is drawn… When you say, “Birds of a feather flock together,” you are actually talking about the Law of Attraction. You see it evidenced when you wake up feeling unhappy, and throughout the day things get worse and worse, and at the end of the day you say, “I shouldn’t have gotten out of bed.” You see the Law of Attraction evidenced in your society when you see that the one who speaks most of illness has illness; when you see that the one who speaks most of prosperity has prosperity…

The Law of Attraction is evident when you set you radio dial on 630AM and expect to receive the broadcast from the transmitting tower of 630AM, because you understand that the radio signals between the transmitting tower and your receiver must match. As you begin to understand—or better stated, as you begin to remember— this powerful Law of Attraction, the evidence of it, which surrounds you will be easily apparent, for you will begin to recognize the exact correlation between what you have been thinking about and what is actually coming into your experience. Nothing merely shows up in your experience. You attract it, all of it, no exceptions.

Giving Thought to It Is Inviting It

The more you come to understand the power of the Law of Attraction the more interest you will have in deliberately directing your thoughts—for you get what you think about, whether you want it, or not.

Without exception, that which you give thought to is that which you begin to invite into your experience. When you think a little thought of something that you want, through the Law of Attraction, that thought grows larger and larger, and more, and more powerful. When you think a thought of something you do not want, the Law of Attraction draws unto it, and it grows larger and larger, also. And so, the larger it grows, the more power it draws unto it, and then the more certain you are to receive the experience.

When you see something you would like to experience and you say, “Yes, I would like to have that,” through your attention to it you invite it into your experience. However, when you see something that you do not want to experience and you shout, “No, no, I do not want that!” through your attention to it you invite it into your experience. In this attraction-based Universe, there is no such thing as exclusion. Your attention to it includes it in your vibration, and if you hold it in your attention or awareness long enough, the Law of Attraction will bring it into your experience, for there is no such thing as “No”. To clarify, when you look at something and shout, “No, I don’t want to experience that; go away!” then what you are actually doing is calling it into your experience, for there is no such thing as “No” in an attraction-based Universe. Your attention to it says, “Yes, come to me this thing I do not want!”

Fortunately, here in your physical time-space reality, things do not manifest into your experience instantaneously. There is a wonderful buffer of time between when you begin to think about something and the time it manifests. That buffer of time gives you the opportunity to redirect your attention more and more in the direction of the things that you actually do want to manifest in your experience. And long before it manifests (actually, when you first begin to give thought to it), you can tell by the way you feel whether it is something you want to manifest or not. If you continue to give your attention to it—whether it is something you want, or something you don’t want— it will come into your experience.

These Laws, even if you do not understand that they do, affect your experience even in your ignorance of them. And while you may not be aware of having heard of the Law of Attraction, it’s powerful effect is evident in every aspect of your life experience.

As you consider what you read here and begin to notice the correlation between what you are thinking and speaking and what you are getting, you will begin to understand the powerful Law of Attraction. And as you deliberately direct your thoughts and focus upon the things that you do want to draw into your experience—you will begin to receive the life experience that you desire on all subjects.

Your physical world is a vast and diverse place full of an amazing variety of events and circumstances, some of which you approve of (and would like to experience) and some of which you disapprove of (and would not like to experience). It was not your intention as you came forth into this physical experience to ask the world to change in order to accommodate your opinions of the way things should be, by eliminating all things that you do not approve of and adding to the things you do approve of.

You are here to create the world around you that you choose, while you allow the world—as others choose it to be—to exist, also. And while their choices in no way hinder your own choices, your attention to what they are choosing does affect your vibration, and therefore your own point of attraction.

My Thoughts Have Magnetic Power

The Law of Attraction and its magnetic power reaches out into the Universe and attracts other thoughts that are vibrationally like it… and brings that to you: Your attention to subjects, your activation of thoughts, and Law of Attraction’s response to those thoughts is responsible for every person, every event, and every circumstance that comes into your experience. All of these things are brought into your experience through a sort of powerful magnetic funnel as they are vibrational matches to your own thoughts.

You get the essence of what you are thinking about, whether it is something you want or something you do not want… That may be unsettling to you at first, but in time, it is our expectation that you will come to appreciate the fairness, the consistency, and the absoluteness of this powerful Law of Attraction. Once you understand this Law, and begin to pay attention to what you are giving your attention to, you will regain control of your own life experience. And with that control you will again remember that there is nothing that you desire that you cannot achieve, and nothing that you do not want that you cannot release from your experience.

Understanding the Law of Attraction and recognizing the absolute correlation between what you have been thinking and feeling— and what is manifesting in your life experience—will cause you to be more aware of the stimulation of your own thoughts. You will begin to notice that your own thoughts may be stimulated from something you read, or watch on television or hear or observe from someone else’s experience. And once you see the effect that the Law of Attraction has upon these thoughts that begin small and grow larger and more powerful with your attention to them, you will feel a desire within you to begin to direct your thoughts to more of the things that you do want to experience. For whatever you are pondering, and no matter what the source of stimulation of that thought… as you ponder that thought, the Law of Attraction goes to work and begins to offer you other thoughts, conversations, and experiences that are of a similar nature.

Whether you are remembering the past, observing the present, or imagining the future, you are doing it right now, and whatever you are focusing upon is causing an activation of a vibration that Law of Attraction is responding to. At first you may be privately pondering a particular subject, but if you think about it long enough, you will start to notice other people beginning to discuss it with you as the Law of Attraction finds others who are offering a similar vibration and brings them right to you. The longer you focus upon something, the more powerful it becomes; and the stronger that your point of attraction is to it, the more evidence of it appears in your life experience. Whether you are focusing upon things you want or things you do not want, the evidence of your thoughts continually flows toward you.

Welcome, Little One, to Planet Earth

You may be feeling that it would be easier to be hearing these words if they had come to you on the first day of your experience upon this Planet Earth. And if we were talking to you on your first day of physical life experience, this is what we would be saying: Welcome, little one, to Planet Earth… There is nothing that you cannot be, or do, or have. You are a magnificent creator, and you are here by virtue of your powerful and deliberate wanting to be here. You have specifically applied the wondrous Law of Deliberate Creation, and by your ability to do that, you are here.

Go forth, giving thought to what you want, attracting life experience to help you decide what you want, and once you have decided, giving thought only unto that.

Most of your time will be spent collecting data—data that will help you decide what it is you want… Your real work is to decide what you want and then to focus upon it, for it is through focusing upon what you want that you will attract it. That is the process of creating: giving thought to what you want, so much thought, and such clear thought, that your Inner Being offers forth emotion. And as you are giving thought, with emotion, you become the most powerful of all magnets. That is the process by which you will attract (what you want) into your experience.

Many of the thoughts that you will be thinking will not be powerful in their attracting, not in the beginning— not unless you stay focused upon them long enough that they become more. For as they become more in quantity, they become more in power; as they are becoming more in quantity, and more in power—the emotion that you will be feeling, from your Inner Being, will be greater.

When you think thoughts that bring forth emotion— you are accessing the power of the Universe. Go forth, (we would say) on this first day of life experience, knowing that your work is to decide what you want— and then to focus upon that.

But we are not talking to you on the first day of your life experience. You have been here for a while… Most of you have been seeing yourself, not only through your own eyes (in fact, not even primarily through your own eyes) but through the eyes of others; therefore, many of you are not now currently in the state of Being that you want to be.

Is My “Reality” Really All That Real?

We intend to offer you a process whereby you can achieve the state of Being that is of your choosing so that you can access the power of the Universe and begin attracting the subject of your wanting, rather than the subject of what you feel is your actual state of Being. For, from our perspective, there is a very great difference between that which now exists—which you call your “reality’— and that which your reality really is.

Even if you sit in a body that is not healthy or in a body that is not the size, shape, or vitality, that you choose; in a lifestyle that does not please you; driving an automobile that embarrasses you; interacting with others that do not bring you pleasure—we want to assist you in understanding that while that may seem to be your state of Being, it need not be. Your state of Being is the way you feel about yourself in any point in time.

Your words will not bring you immediate manifestations of what you are asking for, but the more often you say them, and the better you feel while you are saying them, the purer or less contradicted your vibration will be. And soon your world will be filled with these things you have spoken about… Words alone do not attract, but when you feel emotion when you speak, that means your vibration is strong—and the Law of Attraction must answer those vibrations.

What Is the Measure of Our Success?

The achievement of anything that you desire must be considered success, whether it is a trophy, money, relationships, or things. But if you will let your standard of success be your achievement of joy, everything else will fall easily into place. For in the finding of joy, you are finding vibrational alignment with the resources of the Universe.

You cannot feel joy while you are focusing upon something not wanted, or the lack of something wanted; therefore, while you are feeling joy, you will never be in the state of contradicted vibration. And only the contradiction in your own thoughts and vibration can keep you from the things you desire.

We are amused as we watch the majority spending most of their life seeking a set of rules against which they can measure their life experience, looking outside of self for those who will tell them what is right or wrong, when all along they have within them a Guidance System that is so sophisticated, so intricate, so precise, and so readily available.

By paying attention to this Emotional Guidance System, and by reaching for the best-feeling thought that you can find right now from wherever you are, you will allow your Broader Perspective to help you move in the direction of the things that you truly want.

As you sift through the magnificent contrast of your physical timespace reality, consciously aware of the way you feel, and deliberately guiding your thoughts toward those that feel better and better, in time you begin to see your life through the eyes of your Broader Inner Being.

And as you do so, you feel the satisfaction of being upon the path that you have chosen from your Non-physical perspective when you made the decision to come forth into this wonderful body. For, from your Nonphysical vantage point, you understood the eternally evolving nature of your Being and the promise that this Leading Edge contrasting environment held.

You understood the nature of your magnificent guidance system and how, with practice, you could see this world as your Inner Being sees it. You understood the powerful Law of Attraction and the fairness and accuracy with which it responds to the free will of all creators.

By reaching for the best-feeling thought you can find, you reconnect with that perspective, and you shiver with exhilaration as you reconnect with your purpose, with your zest for life—and with You!

The ART OF ALLOWING

We’ve been calling this gathering The Science of Deliberate Creation, and surely it is that. But we are wanting to give it a new and emphatic subtitle. (a subtitle that you place even more importance upon than the title) We are calling this workshop The Art of Allowing.

Because when you discover how to achieve vibrational harmony with your Source and with your desire, then you are in the vibrational state of allowing the things that you want. And it’s not a difficult thing to do once you understand the way your Guidance System works, and that Law of Attraction is always consistent. Law of Attraction says that which is like unto itself is drawn. And everything is managed or organized by Law of Attraction. Law of Attraction is gloriously, blessedly, lovingly consistent. It never plays favorites. It never behaves differently for one than another. It is always what it is. It’s like the law of gravity–you can count on it.

Your Emotions are Your Guidance System

Your emotions tell you everything that you need to know about your state of allowing or of not allowing. In other words, when you feel positive emotion it means you are in vibrational harmony with your Source, and you are allowing the good things that you are wanting to come to you. It is that simple.

As You Are in a Place of Feeling Good, You are in a Place of Allowing Good.

When you feel that which you call positive emotion, such as joy or appreciation, or a feeling of love or well-being those feelings that make your heart sing, those exhilarating feelings, those feelings, whether it ranges from contentment to passion, those feelings that you would call good feelings, those feelings that you would wish for all people that you love, (and if you are very wise you would wish them for all people that you don’t even know and maybe not love) as you are in that place of feeling good you are in the place of allowing. You are in the place of allowing what? Allowing Source Energy. Allowing connection with who you are. Allowing wellness. Allowing clarity. Allowing abundance of all things desired.

When you feel negative emotion, such as anger or fear or frustration or rage, even anxiety, those feelings of depression? when you feel that which you call negative emotion, what that always means is, for some reason, right now, you are not in the state of allowing. Allowing what? Allowing Source Energy, allowing clarity, allowing all that is good. You are, instead, in the state of resisting. You are in a vibrational state where, for whatever reason, you have found some reason to focus in a way that disallows the Pure, Positive Energy, the Source Energy, the Energy that creates worlds from flowing to you and through you in the way that you’ve intended it.

You Live in a Sea of Well-Being

What a magnificent Guidance System, your emotions. Not something that has to be translated by another. Not something that has to be written in a book and studied for years to be understood. It is right there within you in the moment.

Why Aren’t More Using Their Guidance System?

So why aren’t more people utilizing their Guidance System to hold themselves more often in a state of allowing the things that they want? Because you have become accustomed to the feeling of resistance, so much so that your Guidance System is sort of numb. It feels normal for many of you to feel a little ornery, or a little aggravated. In other words, you have become so accustomed to the feeling of resistance that you don’t understand the Guidance System when it is there within you.

And because most of you have not been made aware of the process of Energy flowing, and how it feels as it flows through you, most of you have lost your place in your Creative Universe in terms of flowing Energy. You have become those, almost without exception, human beings who are charting the results of how you and others have flowed Energy. You have become post Energy studiers. You are looking at the manifestation, which is the result of how the Energy has been flowed, instead of being aware of how you’re flowing in the moment.

Your Power is All In The Now

The only thing that matters is how you’re flowing in the moment. Right now is where all of your power is. Right now you are either open and allowing your Life Force to flow or not and you can tell by the way you feel whether you are allowing or not.

You are receivers of Well-being in extraordinary fashion. You live in a sea, or an arena, of grace. Well-being is the sea that surrounds you. But sometimes, without meaning to, you can get focused upon a piece of something that somebody has manifested in their art of resistance, and as you focus upon it, and as you achieve vibrational harmony with it, you include it in your vibration, as well, and now you, too, are practicing resistance. How is that so? Because everything is about attraction.

Your Attention To It Includes It

When you look at something that you want and you give your attention to it by your attention to it you include it in your vibration. As you say yes to it, you include this thing that you want in your vibration. But when you see something that you do not want, and you shout no at it by your attention to it you include it in your vibration. In this Vibrational Universe, there is no such thing as no. Everything is yes. So when you see something wanted, it is yes. When you see something not wanted, it is yes.

You Know What is Wanted By seeing What Isn’t

It is by your very objective nature, as you weigh the pros and the cons and the pluses and the minuses, that you keep including things that you don’t want in your experience. “But Abraham, isn’t that a logical thing? I thought you said that I’m here to examine the content of the Universe, and that out of this sea of contrast will be born rockets of desire? So how can I help but see those things not wanted?” That’s right. You have to be able to see things not wanted. How would you know what is wanted without your awareness of what is not wanted?

Every Stick Has Two Opposite Ends

Every subject is two subjects. It’s like a stick with two ends on it. On one end is what is wanted and on the other end is that which is not wanted. So when you pick up the stick that says wellness, you’re also picking up the stick that says lack of wellness. When you pick up the stick that says abundance, you’re also picking up the stick that says lack of abundance. Every possibility has two ends. “So how do I be in the place of allowing, when I pick up the stick that says abundance? How do I keep from picking up the other end of it that says, not enough?” And we say, that’s where your Guidance System comes in. You can tell by the way you feel whether your propensity for vibration on a topic is one of resistance or one of allowing.

When you pick up the stick that says abundance, do you feel confident? Do you feel free? Do you feel glorious? Do you feel exhilarated? Or when you pick up the stick that says money, do you feel restriction? Do you feel shortage? Do you feel worried? Do you feel fear? Do you feel anger? What is the feeling that you hold when you activate the subject of dollars? Or of wellness, or of any subject?

Are You Selfish Enough To Feel Good? Nothing Matters More than that I Feel Good.

With much less effort than you have ever thought before, you can learn to bring yourself into vibrational harmony with Well-being at all times. But there’s one thing that you have to decide before any of it will begin to make sense, or before anything that we are going to teach you here today will be able to be applied by you: You must be selfish enough that you are willing to feel good. You have to reach the place where you say, “Nothing matters more to me than that I feel good.” Because until you are willing to actively work at feeling good, you’re not going to know when you don’t. Until you deliberately reach for the conscious feeling of the higher vibration, you won’t be able to recognize the lower vibration.

You and the Cork are Naturally Buoyant

Imagine a cork bobbing up here on the surface of the water. On the surface of the water is where your natural vibration is: high, fast, pure. It all means the same. High, because there’s no resistance, fast, because there’s no resistance, pure, because there’s no resistance. That’s who you naturally are. Now take hold of that cork and hold it under the water. That’s what negative emotion is. But, as soon as you let go of the cork, it floats right back to the surface.

And so, we’re not here to teach you to raise your vibration, because your vibration is naturally raised. We’re here to help distract you from the lower vibration. Jesus said, turn the other cheek, and that’s exactly what he was talking about. Turn your attention from what holds your vibration in a lower place, and your vibration will naturally raise.

Meditation, the Practice of Allowing Well-Being

Many teachers, we are among them, teach meditation, because meditation, when you achieve it effectively, means you distract yourself from the physical stuff. It’s like a withdrawal of consciousness when you are still awake. When you are asleep you withdraw consciousness too. But when you slumber and withdraw consciousness, your consciousness is not consciously aware of what it feels like to be in that higher vibration. But when you are awake and in a state of meditation, now you are consciously aware of what it feels like to be in that higher vibration. Which means, you will be more aware when your vibration dips.

Use Meditation as a Process to Allow Connection to Source Energy

Sometimes people say, “Abraham, is it normal for all hell to break loose in someone’s life when they begin the meditation process?” And we say, yes, because what happens is you are bringing yourself to a place of heightened sensitivity, so that formerly achieved patterns of lower vibration are less comfortable to you.

There are other ways than meditation: Appreciation, a rampage of appreciation raises vibration. Listening to music that makes your heart sing raises vibration. Petting your cat raises vibration, or sitting and watching the river go by? Often you are in your highest states of connection to Source Energy while you are driving. It is the reason that there are fewer traffic accidents, because you are, as a mass consciousness, often more connected when you are driving. Something about the rhythm of the road, or the lack of something to focus upon.

Here is the process of meditation that if we were in your physical places we would utilize: Every day for 10 or 15 minutes, and not for much more than that, we would sit quietly by ourselves somewhere. Maybe under a tree, maybe in our car, maybe in the bathroom, someplace where we would not be interrupted.

We would do our best to shut down our physical senses. In other words, we would draw the curtains if it is bright. We would close our eyes. We would put ourselves in a place where there is not much sound. We really would not even play music. Some people play music, but even that can be distracting in nature. Something like the ticking of a clock, or the dripping of a faucet, or the trickling of a waterfall, something of that nature can be very soothing. And some music falls into that same category. But it must be something that does not stimulate thought.

And we would focus inward, even on our breathing. We would be consciously aware of air in, and we would be consciously aware of air out. We would concentrate on long breaths in, and we would concentrate on long breaths out. We would breathe air in, and when we thought it was all our lungs would hold, we would bring still more in. And when we think it is still all our lungs could hold we would breathe more air in. And then, at a place of full expansion of lungs, we would take a long, slow, delicious time to let the air out. And our intention would be nothing more than being in this moment, and being consciously aware of breathing. We would let it be our fullest responsibility. Not fixing breakfast, not combing hair, not wondering how someone is doing, not thinking about yesterday, not worrying about tomorrow, not focusing on anything in this moment except air in, and air out.

Now, during this process, within 2 or 3 days of doing it, you’re going to begin to feel a detachment from your physical experience. A very common thing that you will feel is a sort of numbing sensation. Some describe that they cannot tell their toe from their nose. Some, if their eyes are closed, and we recommend that, may begin to see movement of light around under their eyelids, or even flashes of color.

There is no right or wrong in this process of meditation. There is nothing that you should be reaching for. This is a state of allowing. This is a state where, for just a few moments, you stop running the show. You stop trying to make anything happen. This is your time of allowing. This is your time when you are saying unto your maker, unto your Source Energy, unto your Inner Being, unto your God - whatever you’re wanting to call it, this is your time of saying, “Here I be, in a state of allowing. And what am I allowing? I’m allowing Source Energy to flow purely through me.”

15 minutes a day of that effort will change your life. Because it will put you in the state of allowing the Energy that is natural to you to flow. You’ll feel better in the moment. You’ll feel more energized when you come out of it.

You may spend 14 minutes before you achieve any state of detachment. You might not ever be consciously aware that you’ve achieved any state of detachment. It doesn’t matter, you are making enormous progress as you allow yourself to be.

“Ask and it is given.” Not, ask and get worthy? It is Ask and it is given. Ask and Allow.

A big benefit that you’ll notice, right away, is that things that you’ve been wanting will begin showing up. “Now, why is this? Abraham, I didn’t sit and intend. I didn’t sit and set goals. I didn’t sit and clarify what I want. I didn’t tell the Universe what I wanted. How come 15 minutes of just being will set those kinds of things in motion?” Because it has always been, ask and it is given. It has never been “ask and do something right and it is given”. It has never been “ask and get worthy”. It is ask and allow. Ask and allow.

And so, every day, you’ve been asking. You’ve been launching all kinds of intentions. You cannot live in your physical body, you cannot be part of this physical environment without endless desires being born within you. And as these desires are being born within you, the Universe is answering them. And now, because of your 15 minutes of allowing, whether you were petting the cat, or practicing your breathing, whether you were listening to a waterfall or listening to happy music, or whether you were on a rampage of appreciation, what happened, for that time of allowing, is, you set up within your vibrational auric field a vibration that, for the time, was not in the state of resisting the things that you’ve been asking for. And progress is made in that time.

Bring Your Guidance System Alive Again

“Well, Abraham, if I’ve been really negative for 50 years, is it going to take me 50 years to turn it around?” 15 minutes ought to do it. “In 15 minutes I can undo all of the disallowing that I’ve learned to do?” In 15 minutes you can allow, you don’t have to undo anything. “Well, what if I’ve really developed habits of negativity? Is 15 minutes going to change that?” Probably not. But the next time you go to one of those negative thoughts, you’re going to be more aware of it. Your Guidance System is going to say, “Hey!” You’re going to feel your state of resistance in a keener way. Your Guidance System is going to be brought alive again so that you will be aware, probably for the first time in your life, of what you’re doing with Energy.

Everything that happens to you is created by the Energy you are Summoning and Allowing (or not).

And that means everything. What you’re doing with Energy is what you do. You do everything with Energy. You are Energy flowing beings. Everything that happens to you and everything that happens to everyone you know, happens because of the Energy that you are summoning and allowing, or not allowing. Everything is about that relationship with Energy. Everyone you know who is having every experience that you know is having it because of the focused desire that their life has brought to them, and the state of allowing or resistance that they are in at any moment.

You Could Release any Deadly Disease, Now

You could have every deadly disease known to man, and some they haven’t even figured out yet, you could have them all in your body right now and tomorrow they could all be gone, if from one day to the next you learned how to allow the Energy to flow. We really are not encouraging those kinds of quantum leaps, they are a little uncomfortable. What we really are encouraging is every day being selfish enough to say: “Nothing is more important than that I feel good. And I’m going to find ways today. I’m going to begin my day by meditating and bringing myself into alignment with my Source Energy. And as I move through the day, I’m going to look for opportunities to appreciate, so that all day long I’ll bring myself back into Source Energy.

“If there’s an opportunity to praise, I’m going to praise. If there’s an opportunity to criticize, I’m going to keep my mouth shut and try to meditate. If I feel like criticizing I’ll say, here Kitty, Kitty, and I’ll pet my cat til that feeling goes away.” Within 30 days of mild effort, you can go from one of the most resistant people on the planet, to one of the least resistant people on the planet. And then those who are watching you will be amazed at the amount of manifestations that begin to occur in your physical experience.

Manifestations, On Other Side of Your Door - Open the door and allow your natural Well-being to Flow

If you could see an aerial view of your life, an aerial view, where we are seeing you, electrically, it’s like you are standing here, and over there is a doorway, and on the other side of the door is lined up all of these things that you’ve been wanting. They’re just leaning on the door, just waiting for you to open it. They’ve been there from the first moment you asked for them: Your lovers, your perfect mates, your perfect bodies, your perfect bodily conditions, all of the money that you could ever imagine … all things that you’ve ever wanted.

Things little and big. Things that you would call extraordinary and significant, and things that you would call not very significant. Everything that you have ever identified that you wanted is lined up right outside that door. And in the moment that you open the door, all things wanted flow to you. And, then we will hold a seminar on how to deal with the manifestations, with all this stuff that is flowing in.

One of the most significant things that we are wanting you to realize is that you are not here about the manifestations. You are here about the feeling of Energy flowing through you. You are here to give birth to the desire. It is the desire that is alive within you that is everything. It is the desire that is alive within you that we are all about. But the manifestations are fun, too, aren’t they?
